How it is supplied
HGH is supplied as a lyophilised powder supplied in international units (iu), commonly as 10iu vials in 100iu kits, or as a pre-filled pen. Reported half-life: Short in circulation, typically two to three hours; downstream IGF-1 elevation persists considerably longer. Storage: Refrigerated at 2-8 C both before and after reconstitution. Never frozen. Growth hormone is a folded protein and loses activity if frozen or shaken vigorously.
Worth knowing
Supplied in iu rather than mg. Roughly 3iu corresponds to about 1mg for somatropin, though the iu figure on the label is the authoritative one.
